Membership & Governance Statement

1. Network Structure

Regnetix™ operates as a professional network of independent assurance firms. The network functions under a unified identity and shared methodological principles, while each member firm remains a legally distinct entity with full responsibility for its own services, regulatory obligations, and professional engagements. The network is focused on supervisory-grade, evidence-based assurance engagements.

The coordinating body of the network is the Regnetix Alliance Verein, an association organised under Swiss civil law. The Verein provides governance, methodological alignment, and brand stewardship for the network, but does not deliver services, issue assurance reports, or participate in client engagements.

2. Governance Framework

The Regnetix Alliance Verein maintains the overarching governance structure of the network. Its functions include:

  • defining and updating network-wide methodological principles.
  • establishing eligibility criteria and admission procedures for member firms.
  • overseeing member onboarding and withdrawal processes.
  • coordinating quality-alignment mechanisms across jurisdictions.
  • maintaining brand and identity coherence within the network.
  • administering internal disciplinary processes for breaches of governance obligations.
  • facilitating professional collaboration among member firms.
  • maintaining network-wide assurance methodology and evidence standards.

The Verein acts solely as a governance and coordination body. It does not supervise, direct, or control the professional work of member firms.

3. Independence of Member Firms

Every Regnetix™ member firm is independently owned and managed. Member firms:

  • operate as separate legal entities
  • enter into their own client contracts
  • carry their own regulatory, professional, and operational responsibilities
  • maintain full control over staffing, methodologies, and engagement execution within their jurisdiction

No member firm may bind the Verein or any other member firm. Likewise, the Verein does not assume liability for the acts or omissions of member firms.

4. Membership Principles

Membership is selective and requires that firms:

  • demonstrate professional competence in assurance across ICT resilience, financial crime, governance, or crypto-asset systems
  • commit to the network’s shared principles of assurance integrity, information security, and professional independence
  • maintain compliance with relevant national regulatory requirements
  • contribute to the collaborative, cross-border knowledge base of the network

Member firms remain fully autonomous in their service delivery and regulatory interactions.

5. Confirmation Practices

The Regnetix Alliance Verein may, upon request:

  • confirm whether a firm is a current member of the Regnetix™ network
  • confirm that the network maintains a unified assurance framework, and that this framework is applied to the member firm concerned in the same manner as to all other members.

The Verein does not:

  • verify, validate, or approve any specific audit report
  • review or confirm the findings, conclusions, or methodologies of individual engagements
  • assume responsibility for any professional services performed by member firms.

All audit reports are issued exclusively by the respective member firm.

6. Internal Dispute Resolution

Internal matters—such as disputes between member firms or between a member firm and the Verein—are resolved through internal procedures administered solely within the network. These procedures govern membership, compliance with governance obligations, and network coordination matters.

These mechanisms apply only within the network and do not extend to external parties.

7. Transparency Statement

This Membership & Governance Statement is intended to provide high-level clarity on how the Regnetix™ assurance network is structured and how its governance operates. It does not modify or supersede the Legal Notice, nor does it create legal obligations between the Regnetix Alliance Verein and external parties.
